The best CrossFit gym and coaches anywhere. I was a member of this gym for over 4 years and recently moved to Gainesville. Nothing compares to the knowledge of the coaching staff. The faculty is large and well outfitted with the best equipment and WODs are strategically created for overall performance and can be scaled to any level. Shout out to Coach Andrew Longboy for his vast knowledge of gymnastics, strength training, skill training and dynamic leadership.

I did CrossFit years ago but never really got much instruction on the movements and actually almost really hurt myself at another CrossFit gym so I was a bit anxious to jump back in and I’m so glad I did. I signed up to get the personal coaching done and walk through the movements to make sure I was doing them right and also have any corrections pointed out and it was very helpful. I feel more confident in the classes and with the coaches. Everyone has been great and welcoming from the owner Mike, to the coaches and even other fellow gym goers. Also, everyone is on different levels of fitness but you don’t feel outed for not being the fastest or strongest. The coaches also provide alternatives if you don’t feel confident doing certain movements or lifts. If you’re looking for a great gym and community this is it!

This gym has given me the best experience and instruction on fitness I've ever received. The owner greets me by name every time he sees me, and all of the coaches have been incredibly helpful. They take the time with everyone. You can tell Mike cares deeply about his businesses and so do all of his staff, making it an awesome experience and gym to workout in!

I discovered Lakeland Athletic Club by accident , while walking/jogging nearby from my daughter’s gymnastics classes. I wondered if I could handle that kind of training, but end up talking myself out of it. After a few weeks of doing this, I finally said the heck with it, and gave it a try. I’m sure glad I did. LAC is awesome!! The owner Mike & all his coaches are very supportive & knowledgeable in helping you achieve your goals to fitness. They know when to scale you back & to push you through. Also the more experienced members very helpful too & encouraging. In 2 months I’ve already started noticing slight changes in my strength & endurance, but I have a long ways to go. I know I can do it with such a great place. I really look forward every day training at LAC. Thank you Mike & all the coaches. Larry Absher

My wife and I joined LAC a few months ago and we are very grateful for the programming and coaching we receive here. We were nervous starting a CrossFit style program being so out of shape and only having limited experience in strength and functional fitness. We were embraced from the beginning (from coaches and members), and challenged each day to give OUR best effort. 3 months in we find ourselves in a positive community of members and coaches, encouraged to train with our best effort, and guided through new-to-us movements. This place is special because of the well-programmed guided training, dedicated coaching staff and welcoming community. I have never enjoyed going to the gym and now it’s one of my favorite parts of my day. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
